Bilguun Harris
Counselling Psychologist & Psychotherapist
MSc · CBT · Person-Centred · Existential

Bilguun Harris is a counselling psychologist based in Tokyo, working with adults experiencing anxiety, depression, burnout, and the psychological challenges of living far from home.

She holds an MSc in Psychology from the University of Northumbria (BPS-accredited) and is a member of the British Psychological Society. Her clinical training includes Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) through the Beck Institute, with advanced training in the treatment of anxiety and depression. During her postgraduate studies, she trained as a crisis counsellor and spent two years providing telephone support at an English-language crisis line in Tokyo. This experience strengthened her ability to support people through periods of acute emotional distress with calm, empathy, and clinical presence.

Having lived across Mongolia, Japan, and England, Bilguun brings both professional and personal insight into the psychological impact of building a life in a new country. She understands the challenges of cultural adjustment, identity changes, loneliness, and the uncertainty that often accompanies starting over in an unfamiliar place. These experiences inform her work with clients navigating life between cultures.

Her approach is integrative, drawing on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Person-Centred Therapy, and Existential Therapy. Rather than applying a single model to everyone, she tailors therapy to each individual's needs, circumstances, and goals.

Sessions are available online worldwide.
